Ray Nouaili – Board Director: Ray was born and raised in Tunisia. He holds a Business and Marketing degree from the University of Sfax. Ray is currently living in the Los Angeles area where he runs a small Accounting and Financial Services business. Ray has been very involved with both the local community and the Tunisian community in the US as well as the network of volunteers on the ground in Tunisia.
Afifa Amouri-Nouaili – Board Director: Afifa was born and raised in Tunisia. She holds an Engineering and Master’s degree in electrochemistry from the Institut National Polytechnique of Grenoble (INPG), France. Afifa is currently living in the Los Angeles area, where she has built strong career in business management within the financial services industry. Afifa is a purpose-driven leader who believes that empathy, authenticity, and access are the foundations of lasting impact that enables people to thrive. Afifa has been involved with the local community especially local schools and with the Tunisian community in Tunisia and abroad.
Lamia Megdiche – Board Director: Lamia was born and raised in Europe, she holds an Engineering degree in computer science from the Institut National Polytechnique of Grenoble (INPG) France. Lamia is currently living in the Bay Area in the US, working in the High Tech industry. Lamia has been very involved with the Tunisian community abroad.
Sami Ben Maklouf – Board Director: Sami was born and raised in Tunis. He holds an Engineering degree in computer science from the Institut National Polytechnique of Grenoble (INPG) France. Sami is currently living in the Bay Area in the US working in the High Tech industry. Sami has been very involved with the Tunisian community abroad.
Tarek Abichou – Board Member: Tarek was born and raised in Tunisia. He holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Madison-Wisconsin. Tarek is currently living in Tallahassee Florida, where he is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Dr. Abichou, a Fulbright Scholar, has been involved internationally with local community development through Engineers Without Borders in Peru and Panama. He has also been involved with environmental NGOs and local schools in the south of Tunisia.
Dorra Sellami, MD – Board Member: Born and raised in Tunis, Tunisia, Dr. Sellami graduated from Tunis Medical School, and completed a radiology residency in Tunis and Paris. She moved to the USA for a research fellowship at UCSF, followed by a radiology residency and fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. She currently practices at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center and San Mateo County Medical Center. Dr. Sellami is passionate about philanthropy and strongly believes in giving back to communities in the USA, Tunisia, and all around the world.
Houda Hadiji – Board Member: Houda grew up in Tunisia, she moved to California after completing her BS degree in Accounting and Finance from the Higher Institute of Management ( ISG). She holds an MBA from San Jose State University. Houda is currently a Director of Business Development with Lam Research in Fremont, California. Houda is passionate about helping others succeed and is inspired by philanthropic organizations striving to make the world a better place. She is very involved with the Tunisian community in Bay Area.
